The European Commission has proposed mobilising €144 million from the EU Solidarity Fund for Romania, Spain and Cyprus following devastating natural disasters in 2025.
Romania is set to receive €14.3 million from the EU Solidarity Fund following the 2025 floods.
The total €144 million package also covers Spain (€120.4m) and Cyprus.
The proposal still requires approval from the European Parliament and the Council of the EU.
